The Pole Star SAILOR 6130 package also includes the Sirius Control Box 6130 LRIT, designed by Polaris, which brings new functionalities to support day to day operation whilst ensuring compliance. It has a range of LEDs, enabling operators to rapidly determine status such as power, Inmarsat log-in, GPS fix and to determine whether a running program is present within the terminal. The control box allows for advanced transmission monitoring, with a subtle audio alarm to alert crew if LRIT Transmission fails.
