Pole Star, the global leader in maritime intelligence, is pleased to announce the appointment of supply chain risk and analytics expert, Henry Bonner, as Chief Product Officer.
As part of the executive leadership team at Pole Star, Bonner will identify new market requirements and direct the development of solutions to ensure they excel at meeting current and future customer requirements and business challenges in maritime intelligence, risk, and compliance.
Previously Chief Product Officer at Everstream Analytics, a leading AI supply chain risk solutions company, Bonner has 25 years’ experience in the trading and risk technology sector, centred chiefly on physical and financial commodity markets and supply chains.
Bonner said: “I’m extremely pleased to join the energetic and gifted team at Pole Star. This is an innovative company with a brilliant track record that has significant growth opportunities caused by shifts in market dynamics, technology, and the demands of regulation, compliance, and sustainability; we will enable our customers to achieve real growth while remaining compliant in the face of changing global regulation.”
Throughout his career, which has included 23 years in the U.S., Bonner has been heavily involved in opening new markets and realigning existing solutions in mission-critical environments. He has led ESG related projects, including emissions markets and credits, as well as analytics solutions for social and governance-scoring. His far-reaching experience covers physical and financial trading and risk management, risk impact forecasting, vessel and container movements, IoT telemetry, and trade finance solutions.
After receiving significant investment from Wavecrest Growth Partners, Abry Partners, and its principal shareholders last year, Pole Star has accelerated its product development, allowing for future progression and technological enhancements. With a strong emphasis on collaboration, Pole Star is committed to business alliances, technological partnerships, and the interoperability and development of its products.
CEO, Julian Longson, said, “Henry is a great addition to our team. He will use his insight and sector-specific expertise to help power our continuing growth and evolution. His appointment is a significant step forward as we provide advanced solutions that make maritime trade cleaner, safer, and more transparent, transforming the efficiency of all our customers right along the physical and financial supply chains.”
